ChemWriter 2

The appearance of ChemWriter editor and painter instances can be controlled using Cascading Stylesheets (CSS). To promote maximum client code stability, we treat published CSS selectors as a kind of backward-compatible API - just like our published JavaScript functions. This means that we will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the selectors appearing below remain constant in future releases.

.chemwriter .editor

The top-level editor element. The following example illustrates some of the changes that can be made to the global editor appearance.

.chemwriter .editor {
  width: 600px; height: 400px;
  position: relative;
  background-color: #aaaaaa;
  font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
  cursor: default;
  border: 3px solid #aaaaaa;
  border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px;

.chemwriter .painter

The top-level painter element. Compared to the editor, painters offer much less in the way of customizable CSS properties.

.chemwriter .painter {
  width: 200px; height: 200px;
  position: relative;
  border: 1px solid #aaaaaa;
  border-radius: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 5px; -webkit-border-radius: 5px;
