Have you wondered if it’s possible to run your presentation slide decks from your iPad? This video shows how.
Materials
- a Mac running Keynote
- an iPad 1 or later running the Keynote App
- an iPad VGA Adapter
Summary
I was skeptical that this would actually work, so I created a PDF version of my presentation and saved it to a memory stick - just in case. But everything came together without a hitch.
The video output ‘just worked’ - without any futzing around, and I was able to use the timer and current/next slides on my display to keep the presentation moving along and on time.
There were other benefits as well. For one, the iPad is much lighter and more compact than most laptops - there’s just less technology in your face. For another, battery life was a non-issue.
