ChemWriter Starter Package Now Available for Download
Metamolecular, LLC is proud to announce the availablility of the ChemWriter Starter Package.
The Starter Package is the first ChemWriter release to be offered to the public via anonymous download. It consists of a platform-independent installer containing everything needed to begin developing and testing ChemWriter-enabled Web applications.
The Starter Package offers a low-risk way to find out if ChemWriter is the right tool for your Web application. The fully-functional, non-expiring copy of ChemWriter-1.0.1 can be used for development and testing purposes right up until the time you’re ready to deploy.
Once you’re ready to deploy, simply purchase a deployment license key and pass it as an applet parameter. Your license key, a 29-character string specific to your domain, will allow you to deploy your your application and will remove the yellow and green license reminder boxes in the Editor and Painter applets. There’s nothing else to download or install, and no license files to maintain.
Your ChemWriter license key will continue to work with all future ChemWriter 1.x releases, making upgrades as simple as replacing your old ChemWriter jarfile with a new one.
Metamolecular offers two standard ChemWriter licenses: a Domain License and a Subdomain License. A domain license can be used, for example, on the domains example.com and www.example.com. A subdomain license can be used on a given domain and all of its subdomains such as example.com, www.example.com, notebook.example.com, stockroom.example.com, and screening.example.com.
The Starter Package also includes documentation and example files. JavaDoc documentation for the EditorApplet and PainterApplet classes are included, as are three sample HTML files illustrating common uses and customizations.
