ChemWriter 1.0 Beta 2
Monday, November 26, 2007
Metamolecular, LLC is pleased to announce the availability of ChemWriter™ 1.0 Beta 2. ChemWriter is the 2D chemical structure editor designed specifically for Web applications. ChemWriter was formerly known by its codename “Firefly.”
ChemWriter 1.0 Beta 2 offers the following improvements:
- Zooming in and out are now complementary. All magnification and reduction is now done relative to the center of the user’s view. When zooming out results in a boundary condition, the document is expanded.
- Charges are now imported and exported in molfiles.
- Charges encoded in the molfile atom block are overridden by charges encoded in the properties block. If charges are only encoded in the atom block, they are read and processed.
- Charges are now written to both the atom block and the properties block of molfiles.
- The editor now repaints itself after deletion of single, unconnected atom.
- Tooltips have been added for ring tool buttons.
The new ChemWriter 1.1 Beta 2 release can be used on the ChemWriter homepage. Information on beta testing ChemWriter can be obtained by contacting us.
